Gordon Thornhill of Boston and county extension agent Rap Owings will represent the Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District in the 33rd annual Goodyear Conservation Awards Program in Litchfield, Arizona, beginning Friday. December 12.
The 106 participants areoutstanding cooperators and officials of the first place districts in the competition sponsored by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in conjunction with the National Association erf Conservation Districts.
Among the scheduled events are tours of the 12,360 acre Goodyear Farms, a proving ground for agricultural machinery and equipment since 1917, and visits to other points of interest in the Phoenix area.
