Rappahannock New* Photo/S. Latham BAGGED THANKSGIVING DAY by Bobby Whorton of Rixeyville was this buck which field dressed at 171 pounds. Whorton shot the animal with a 30.06 rifle in Rappahannock County. The deer’s 10-point rack had a 22 inch spread in the beam. With Whorton is his son Billy. Game management official Irvin Kenyon estimated the age of the animal to be about six years and thought it was a trophy kill worth entering in a big game contest.
