Hampton District supervisor Clarence Baldwin has nominated George Davis, Rappahannock's former commonwealth’s attorney, to replace Kermit Weakley who has . resigned from the county's Board of Zoning Appeals.
In a letter to Circuit Court Judge Shore Robertson. Baldwin noted that he was withdrawing his earlier recommendation of John Burke at Burke’s request.
Addressing Davis' qualifications. Baldwin wrote that he was attorney for the county when Rappahannock's zoning laws were drafted and “is more than qualified" to hold the BZA seat, adding that he would submit further background material on Davis at Robertson’s request.
