Baumgardner advised that under the ordinance’s definition of home occupation, Mills’ proposed use falls outside the scope of that allowance and that the property would have to be rezoned for Mills to legally run a garage. In addition, the commonwealth’s attorney suggested the supervisors consider adopting a conditional zoning ordinance. “If the board feels it’s in order, I request authority to take it up with the planning commission,” Baumgardner said.
There was no response from the supervisors.
In a final question, Luke asked Mills if he had his state inspection license.
“I’ve been operating with that since October,” Mills replied.
With no further discussion, the board members voted unanimously to grant the commercial rezoning.
