Despite questions over jurisdiction. the Rappahannock Board of Zoning Appeals voted unanimously at its special reconvened meeting last Thursday to deny Steven Parlagreco’s request to convert a farm building into seven apartment units.
Parlagreco sought a special use permit to allow remodeling of a large chicken shed on a 19-acre parcel at Castleton Farms into multifamily dwelling units, allowed by permit in an agricultural zone.
The BZA’s original November 13 public hearing was recessed until last Thursday’s session, giving time for the members to make an on-site inspection and for the applicant to submit the required development plan.
