Win Contest
Students of Wakefield School In Huntly won 15 of the 17 prizes awarded in the annual Christmas Story writing contest sponsored by Samuels Library of Front Royal for area students in grades 1-7.
With students from five schools participating in the contest. Wakefield students won all four of the top prizes awarded.
Winners included Ryan Barnes, grade 6. and Nancy Proctor, grade 7, both of Sperryville; Warren Prescott, grade 5. and Tiffany Purcell, grade 3, both of Warrenton.
Other Wakefield prize winners were Skip Giles, Jeff SchlegaL. Cleo von Ludwig, Chris Farrell, Jennifer Moreman, Tara Welty, Richard Campbell. April Richey, and Jennifer Gagnon.
