"Why should someone involved with possession only (of alcohol) get 14 days out of school while someone involved with possession AND consumption gets only two?” Dougherty asked.
"It seems unfair," Eastham acknowledged.

New Hands
“Some of the things you’re noticing might just be a change of hands at the controls,” said discipline committee member Nelson Lane, adding that the committee will try to be consistent in its decisions.
Don Dougherty emphasized that the student in case A was barred from extracurricular activities and sports as well as being suspended and noted that this hasn't happened with more recent drug and alcohol violations.
