Volunteers
Sought
Volunteers are needed to conduct the annual house to house Cancer Crusade fund drive in Rappahannock that begins in late March.
Cancer Crusade cochairmen. Pat Giles and Betty Settle, have lined up unit captains for all districts except Wakefield. Organizing the local effort in Hampton is Toni Updike; in Piedmont Sandra Brown; in Jackson. Margery Albright and in Stonewall-Hawthorne. Marty Cannon. Anyone willing to be captain for Wakefield should call Mrs. Giles at 675-36.17.
Prospective workers who are asked by district captains to collect door to door should remember that they’re being requested to donate only one day out of the year in volunteer service to the community. Dollar for dollar, the return on that one day investment is enormous in terms of money, materials, equipment and services provided to the county by the American Cancer Society.
