One XTulpeper County squadsman. Frank Zinn of Salem, endorsed negotiating the dispatching situation, calling a deletion of Rappahannock “a step backward.” “We’ve had a very good working relationship with Rappahannock units in the past," he said. "Thia thing should have been discussed before the letter went out."

The supervisors turned to regional Emergency Medical Services planner Gary Rosson to mediate the matter, asking him to set up a meeting with Culpeper and Rappahannock units. He was also asked to set up a local committee with representatives of all Culpeper County units to discuss the issue.

“I thought our local organization would want to work out a solution." said Chairman Jones. “But the way they came across the other night (Thursday), they acted like they don’t want to."
