She maintained that the board should either approve the trip as a school activity with all school rules and regulations in force or have nothing to do with the trip, including not granting a tree day for teachers and seniors.
Nelson Lane said he was inclined to agree with the superintendent's recommendation and allow the trip as a non-sanctioned activity with parents taking responsibility for their children and the school cleared of all liability and responsibility.
Likewise, the chairman added her support for a nonsanctioned trip.
