The annual Flint Hill Firemen’s carnival is scheduled to open next Wednesday night, July 29, and continue through Saturday, August 1. There will be rides, games, concessions, fun and amusements for all every night.
Special attractions include Kids Night Wednesday, when children of all ages can ride any and all rides all evening for one low price, a special saver for parents' pocketbooks, according to Moe Walker, secretary of the fire company.
A grand parade will take place Thursday night beginning at 6:30 through the streets of Flint Hill with the newly crowned Miss Virginia as grand marshal. Also featured will be Miss Shenandoah Apple Blossom and others.
