Chairman Beverly Massie replied that the board was trying to work out a schedule {o see Faulkner at his convenience on a Friday evening when the weekend resident is in the county.
She restated the school board’s decision to ‘‘explore possibilities" on capital outlay so that when “need and the economy allow," it will have a building proposal with which to proceed.
Patterson maintained that it’s the board’s responsibility to present an expansion plan which meets the educational needs of Rappahannock’s school children and the supervisors’ responsibility to determine if the county can afford that building program.
He repeated that the school board should present a capital improvements proposal "and allow the people of Rappahannock County to speak through their elected representatives on the board of supervisors.”
