In June, the board approved payment of a $3,283 bill from Robert Clatterbuck for repairs at the shop covering all safety violations except, according to Bloomer, installation of explosion proof sockets and connectors in the paint finishing room.
Since the board has a selfimposed $1,000 limit without putting a project out for bid, Clatterbuck was instructed to stop.
The board agreed to have specifications drawn and put the balance of the work to correct the safety hazards out on bids. If Clatterbuck is the successful bidder, repairs are to resume with an OSHA inspection to come at the completion of the job.
If Clatterbuck isn’t the successful bidder, his work will be inspected by OSHA with another inspection of the second contractor’s part to come at the finish of the job.
