The doctor appears to miss the point of the abortion controversy. The arguments are not over whether or not the unborn child possesses a spiritual life. The existence of the soul cannot be proved scientifically in either the born or the unborn. The issue is whether the human fetus is a human being.
Alive, growing, and with human attributes, the fetus carried by a human mother is surely, beyond a reasonable doubt, a human being. If abortionists wish to apply full growth and development as criteria for being human, then not even a six-year-old child would qualify! ,,
It is interesting to note that when Dr. Krebser states that “...the sex of the child is not predicted by the heart beat...”, he appears to reveal his own deep feelings about the humanity of the unborn.
