iic ivappanannocK Planning Commission gave unanimous approval at last Wednesday’s meeting to Rappski Limited’s site plan for subdividing the 300-acre Harris Hollow ski area into nine lots.
“This is the same plan, the same plat that we already submitted (during rezoning hearings for the tract),” said Eric Adamson, Front Royal attorney and partner in Rappski Limited. “It has been rezoned (from commercial to residential subdivision). Now we need subdivision approval.”
The nine parcels, ranging in size from 25 to 75 acres, were laid out by an engineer with a drainfield site for each lot, according to Adamson.
Planning commissioner Newbill Miller noted that the developers will have to upgrade the existing road which serves the property to comply with subdivision ordinance regulations. The regulations don’t require “a real fancy road but it is a substantial road,” Miller added.
