Sharp acknowledged that he is not yet very familiar with the county’s zoning and subdivision ordinances but said he planned to attend all meetings of the Rappahannock planning commissioners who are now involved with review and revision of local land use regulations.
As to his duties as building official. Sharp said he didn’t think building code requirements would be too difficult to learn. He added that a series of slimmer jobs have given him some handson experience in construction.—D.H.
