Members of the 1971 graduating class of Rappahannock County High School held their 10 year reunion Saturday at the Rappahannock Recreation Center near Washington. Classmates attending were Kenneth Gochenour of Michigan, Lois Yates of Newport News, Martha Lou O'Bannon of Woodvitl*. Brenda Settle Payne and Betty Atkins of Sperryville, Marilyn Porter Price of Manassas, Peggy Gray Jones of Flint Hill, C. G. Thornhill of Bumpass, James Beatty and Joanne Aylor of Front Royal, Gwen Parker of Amissville, Christine Fox of Harrisonburg, Bobby Brown, Nina Bailey Norman and Barbara Clark Burke, all of Washington.

■' The Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries has decided to stop issuing permits for the importation of raccoons into the Commonwealth from other states. The decision was based on conclusive evidence that imported raccoons from a number of southern states carried rabies and other diseases into Virginia.
Dr. Victor Nettles of the Southeast Cpoperative Wildlife Disease Study Group in Athens. Georgia and Dr. Harry Nottebart from the Virginia State Department of Health expressed concern about the importation practice. During a presentation to the Commission during their meeting August 28, 1981. Dr. Nettles spoke of the problems that have surfaced in the translocation of raccoons. He emphasized that the parvovirus carried by raccoons could be transmitted to other wildlife and dogs and that the practice has a poor success ratio in addition to the disease problem.
