The WSA members agreed to ask commonwealth's attorney Douglas Baumgardner, the county’s new zoning administrator, local sanitarian Jack Lockhart and the regional head of the health department to attend the next Water and Sewer Authority meeting on October 19 to discuss the possibility of allowing septic tank installation at those homes which have recently installed bathrooms with HUD funds.
Johnson suggested that residents of the Sperryville community also be invited to the October session and volunteered to contact the families involved.
“I think permits for holding tanks have been issued to some individuals. Why not all?” concluded Leake.
