By Richie Burke & Lori Frye This week a new club is being organized at RCHS under the direction of Miss Griffin. It is called the Hi-Y Club and is very popular in most of the high schools in the state. The purpose of this club is: “To create, maintain, and extend to the fullest capacity of ones ability, high standards of a Christian way of life through involvement, brotherhood, equality and service". During the school year many resources are provided the participants to help the individual become more involved in the community and the school. These activities include: service projects such as Christmas parties for the underpriviledged children, refreshments for PTA meetings, and school beautification projects, as well as leadership training including regional or state conferences.
