George Sharp.
A graduate of the University of Virginia with a degree in economics, Sharp has the equivalent of a minor in environmental science. As part of a land use management course he took at UVa, he undertook an independent study on the effect of industry in rural areas. Sharp said his interest in land use planning focused on Rappahannock County but his instructor felt the topic should be of a more general nature.
