The front room in Mr. Dennis’ hilhop house at Slate Mills is his library. He has a set of encylopcdias printed in 1888. the yebr he was bora, shelves full of old books in cracked leather bindings and a table full of National Geographies. The magazine has been his window on the world. "I’ve taken National Geographic for 70 years. I used to bay it at the newstand in Hagerstown and then when we moved back to Rappahannock.
