Wakefield Students
Attend Concert
Eighty students of Wakefield School’s third through sixth grades attended the Young People’s Concert of the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center in Washington. D.C. last Thursday.
The students heard the orchestra perform, under the direction of Hugh Wolff, the opening Fanfare from “Also Sprach Zarathustra’’ by Richard Strauss; excerpts from "The Planets" by Gustav Holst; and the music from “Star Wars” by John Williams.
After the concert, they went to view the National Christmas Tree at the White House.
