The Washington attorney plans to maintain his law practice along with his new job as zoning administratorbuilding official but plans to limit his legal work so as to avoid even the appearance of any conflict of interest.
“Obviously, I will not be able to do any zoning litigation or take any real estate settlements where rezoning or a special use permit is part of the transaction. However, I don’t see any conflict in any other areas of my practice that would arise by virtue of being zoning administrator,” Konick said. “Most of my work involves estate planning. corporate matters and litigation that has nothing to do with zoning," he concluded.
