“Judge Holt was great on contempt citations. At one point, he cited the entire Board of Tucker County Commissioners ^supervisors) for contempt, threatening heavy fines and imprisonment for all of them because they weren’t moving fast enough to suit the judge on a capital outlay program for completion of a new court house for him. On another occasion, in his charges to the Grand Jury in the Eastham murder case, Holt sprinkled his instructions liberally with threats of contempt citations against the Grand Jurors and other dire consequences if they failed to bring in a true bill indicting Bob Eastham for first degree murder,” his grand nephew reported.
