Oakley Dodson

World War II Veteran

Oakley Dodson, 71, of Nethers, died.Friday, December 30, 1983, at the Newton Diehl Baker Veterans Hospital in Martinsburg.

A native of Madison County, he was the son of the late William Henry and Carrie Fincham Dodson. He was a retired employee of the Virginia Department of Highways. Mr. Dodson was a veteran of World War II and a member of Madison Memorial Post 472 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Hazel Jenkins of Berryville and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday at the Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper by the Rev. Charles Clinedinst. Burial was in the Etlan Cemetery.
