DAR Students To Speak
The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter Daughters of American Revolution will have as their guest speakers DAR Good Citizen students from Rappahannock, Madison and Culpeper Counties. Each year a senior class student from each of the above named counties is selected and presented the DAR Good Citizen award at the January meeting.
Mrs. Dale Metzinger of Sperryville will preside at this meeting which is to be Tuesday, January 10 at 2 p.m. in the Culpeper Presbyterian Church. Miss Mary Bruce will be hostess.
Dulcimer Workshop Set
The Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community (RAAC) will hold a dulcimer workshop on February 4 from 9:30 to 3 at Blackwater Creek Homestead near Boston.
Participants will build a dulcimer in the morning and learn to play it in the afternoon. RAAC recommends this as a joint project for children and parents or grandparents, couples, teachers, beginning and experienced musicians.
Cost is $10 per person plus $20 for the cardboard dulcimer kit. For additional information, call 547-3405 or 675-3193.
RAAC Meeting Planned
The executive committee of the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community will meet Tuesday, January 10, at 4:30 p.m. at the RAAC office in Washington’s Gay Street Theater.
