The sheriff reported deputies were spending “as much time as we can at dumpsters,” where dumping on the ground, dumping brush and unauthorized use of facilities by non-residents continue to cost taxpayers more money and county officials more headaches.
New warning signs, it is hoped, will alert violators of the consequences: One person recently was fined $30 and court costs, Sheriff Woodward reported.
“We should have some community service out of these people,” Supervisor Gilkey said.
