To the editor:
It was gratifying to see the response in last week’s paper to the attack on Sursum Corda.
While I haven’t yet had a child in day care there, I’ve been a frequent visitor at the center for years, dropping in unannounced at all hours. I have found only happy, stimulated youngsters at work and play.
I know most, if not all, the teachers at the center, now and in past years, and I have never heard a single one express dissatisfaction with either programs or policies, financial or otherwise.
In the last two weeks, I’ve spoken to parents who were asked by Ms. Delr evitt to sign her letter. They didn’t sign because they didn’t agree with the allegations she expressed, not because they had children enrolled at the center and feared retaliation.
