CMH Offers Prenetal Classes
A series of four prenatal education classes for expectant parents will begin September 10 and run through October 1 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Part of the CMH family-centered maternal/child program, the classes teach information on anatomy and physiology of pregnancy, labor and delivery, hygiene and nutritional needs during pregnancy, postpartum and newborn care. Expectant parents receive a tour of CMH’s obstetric unit including labor and delivery areas and the birthing room.
The clases will meet in the hospital conference room on four consecutive Monday eveningB, September 10, 17, 24, and October 1 from 7:30 to9tf0p.m.

Historical Society Meeting & Picnic
The Rappahannock Historical Society will hold its annual meeting and picnic at “Mont Medi”, home of the Irvin Kilbys on August 10 at 6 p.m.
"Mont Medi” dating back to the Revolutionary was built with logs and enlarged in 1888 by Captain J.S. Stark. Weather boarding was also added. Miss Mary Elizabeth Hite, author of “A Rappahannock Story Book* lived there.
“Mont Medi” is on U.S. 231, approximately six miles from Sperryville. Members and houseguests and those who wish to join the Society are invited to attend.
