Jenkins Family Reunion

The families and descendants of the late Alfred S. and Catherine Gearing Jenkins will have their annual reunion on Sunday, August 12 at the Rappahannock Park beginning at 12 noon. Those attending are asked to bring a picnic lunch.

RAAC’s Programming Meeting Set

On Sunday, August 12 at 7:90 there will be a public meeting concerning RAACs upcoming year of programming. Both RAAC members and the public is invited to give feedback to a list of possibilities that will be presented as well as share new ideas.

“If there are cultural events you’d like to see happen in Rappahannock, or if you have contacts with performers and artists, please come, said a RAAC spokesperson. Young people are welcome. The meeting will be held at Brambles in Washington.

Enrichment and After-School Programs

The Child Care and Learning Center announces an all-new afterschool child care program, beginning August 23. Preschool, school-age, tesn/aduh jass, tap, ballet classes will begin a new series on September 18. Children’s and adult karate will begin their new series on September 6. Brand-new this fall will be a course in Stained Glass. Call 675-3237 for farther information.

On August 24 and 25, Germanna counselors, faculty, staff and administration will be at Spotayivania Mall to present GCC programs and recruit students. On August 24, the exhibit will be open from 6:00 to 9£0 p.m., and on the 25th from l(H)0a.m. until 9-JO p.m. This timely offoriim will enable students to obtain answers to questions in time to register on September 6tfa and 0th. With the new Eariy-Start Calendar, cfawaea begin on September 10, almost two weeks earlier than evar before.
