“We certainly don’t want to hide anything or give anybody the feeling they’re being railroaded,” A. Y. Stokes, Planning Commission chairman, says in response to concerns about how much time will be spent during the upcoming public hearing.
“The intent is to get public input to make any modifications or changes deemed necessary.”
Chairman Stokes says he realizes it could be difficult for an individual to get through the entire document. “It could be that we’ll have additional sessions, if warranted,” he adds.
The chairman maintains, however, that he cannot commit at this time other commissioners to more work sessions on the proposed zoning ordinance. That decision will be made by the entire Planning Commission at the
