Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Jim Yowell on the birth of a son, Kevin James born July 12. He weighed seven pounds and two ounces. The Yowells have three other children, Beth, Jenny and Scott. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Leon Stiglich of Roanoke and Mr. and Mrs. Everette Yowell of Etlan.
Albert Yowell returned home several weeks ago from Wilford Hall Hospital in Texas, where he had major surgery on his arm and hand resulting from an injury he secured while in the Air Force in Germany. We are all delighted to hear that the surgery was successful and he is much improved.
Misty Lynn Gallihugh returned home on Friday after spending several days with her grandmother and aunt, Mrs. Jean and Susan Gallihugh.
Mr. and Mrs. Everett Yowell of Etlan assisted by Mr. and Mrs. Ken Yowell hosted a lawn party at their home on July 29 in honor of their son, Dan. Dan has left for Mississippi where he will be married on August 11 to Tanya Donahoo of Areola, Miss. They will be living there for the next year. Many relatives and friends came to wish him farewell.
