Friends of Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Jenkins gathered at their home in Old Hollow Sunday afternoon to share in the excitement of the recent birth of their twins, Tom and Ted. Welcoming the new arrivals were Mrs. Barbara Payne, Sharon, Melissa and Wanda and Mrs. Cathy Pullen, all of Washington, Mrs. Eva J. Sample of Culpeper and Angela Jenkins and Mrs. Barbara Burke. Tom and Ted were bom June 23 at Fauquier Hospital. The Jenkinses have four other children, Bobby, Kirk, James and Christal.

Dr. and Mrs. John P. Snead were among those who attended a farewell luncheon on July 4 at Fairlea given in honor of Judge and Mrs. Rayner V. Snead by their children. Mrs. Mary Smith O’Bannon and several friends of Warrenton visited Dr. and Mrs. Snead last Thursday. The Sneads visited Mrs. Marjorie Snead Ruskin in the James Madison Adult Home Monday.

Mrs. Ward Guessford of Williamsport, Md., and Mrs. Robert Nethers of Flint Hill were house guests this week of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Nethers. Mr. and Mrs. John Coates and daughter Sarah of St. Augustine, Fla., were dinner guests Saturday.

The churches of the Rappahannock United Methodist Charge - Sperryville, Flint Hill and Willis Chapel — will have a joint picnic on Sunday, July 12, at the 4-H Center in Harmony Hollow. Swimming will precede the picnic at 4 o’clock.

Mrs. Ranny Aylor and Mrs. F. D. Coffey Jr. accompanied their mother Mrs. Robert Nethers of Flint Hill to Winchester Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. George W. Hawkins visited Mrs. C. E. Burke and Mrs. Frank Edmonds in Front Royal Saturday.

Mrs. Charles H. Estes entertained the Sperryville Bridge Club at her home Friday night. Guests were Mrs. I. R. Kilby, Mrs. C. E. Johnson Jr., Mrs. W. H. Cordle, Mrs. Roy L. Reeve, Mrs. Jack Brown, Mrs. T. J. Pillar, Mrs. Frances Tabler and Mrs. Brown Miller. Prize winners were Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Reeve and Mrs. Cordle.

Jim Miller of Atlanta, Ga., and Karen Jesse of Daytona Beach, Fla., were holiday house guests of Mrs. Brown Miller.
