With that, Mr. Carrigan turned the microphone back to Master of Ceremonies Phil Irwin. The audience joined in the singing of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” and “the rockets’ red glare” lit up the sky above Avon Hall in yet another celebration of our nation’s independence, and this year the Bicentehnial of the Constitution.
