Mr. McCarthy noted that Warren County has taken advantage of the DMV’s financial incentive program to remove 210 junked cars from private property. ‘This program will assist with the enforcement of the zoning ordinance. It complies with all Virginia laws. And there should be no cost for running it,” he told the supervisors. “Five dollars (per car) would cover my time in administering the program . . . It gives people a way to take care of junked cars without costing them anything. It’s the answer to complaints about the wrecks scattered around the county.”
