The recognition is, however, often the most difficult step. Some people may recognize the symptoms, even admit to themselves what is wrong, yet suffer in silence while hoping that the condition will disappear by itself. Others may merely feel trapped, realizing that something is wrong but not able to identify the cause.

Remember, the two most easily identifiable signs of stress are increased irritability and sleep problems. Remember also that how you feel affects your personal life, family life and job performance. Help is available by contacting your physician or mental health professional.
