At the prestigious “Homestead Virginia Food and Wine Week-end” Oasis Vineyard received the highest award in the “Champagne Flight” with a silver medal for its “Domaine de la Venne” Extra-dry Champagne. Other wines to win awards were the Champagne “Domaine de la Venne” Brut, Virginia Red (also called Chelois) 1984, Cabernet Sauvignon 1984, and Sauvignon Blanc 1986.
At the 1987 Virginia “Governor’s Cup” competition, silver medals were awarded to the Chablis 1986, Chelois 1984 and Virginia Red 1984.
