Ashby Clalterbuck
Ashby Davis (Fritz) Clatterbuck, 61, of Ranson, W.Va., formerly of Culpeper, died July 3 at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Mr. Clatterbuck was the son of the late Ashby R. Clatterbuck and Evelyn Bowen Clatterbuck. He was a native of Culpeper and had lived in Ranson for several years. He was a horse trainer.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cynthia G. Clatterbuck, two daughters, Ms. LuAnne Clatterbuck of Fredericksburg and Casey Joann Clatterbuck, and two stepsons, Brent Shiflett and Chad Shiflett, all of Ranson, two brothers, John H. Clatterbuck of Amissville and F. Milton Clatterbuck of Culpeper, and one grandson.
A funeral was conducted July 6 at the Clore Funeral Home by the Rev. John S. Farrar. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper.
Rev. James Mastin
Rev. James Thompson Mastin, 67, of Richardsville, died July 3 at Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton, following a short illness.
Mr. Mastin was the son of the late Joseph T. Mastin and Martha Collins Mastin. He was retired from Gold Oil Co.
He was a member of Richardsville United Methodist Church, past president of Richardsville Volunteer Fire Deparmtent and Rescue Squad and a member of the Moose Lodge of Fredericksburg.
