Rappahannock County’s maintenance supervisor, as of June 30 Mr. Pullen’s injuries had required about 200 pints of blood. He remains in critical condition in the intensive care unit of Fairfax Hospital.
Mr. Bywaters asked that donors contact Beigi Atkins at the highway department’s Warrenton office (347-2834) to arrange a time to donate. He added that donors wishing to replace blood used by Mr. Pullen should make the Bloodmobile staff aware of their request. It is not necessary that the donor have the same blood type as Mr. Pullen in order for it to be earmarked for replacement of the blood used in his treatment.
