Louis Pattishall brought his grandson from Winchester. Family members of the Frank McWhirts drove up from down county and 14 young graduates of the University of Virginia, guests of the William Parishes, enthusiastically agreed on their first taste of the one and only Ruritan barbecue sauce — that it was wonderful. After 26 years of precision and experience the Ruritans were again proud to serve their hearty and fine gourmet meal.
