Mr. and Mrs. Thornton Semones hosted the annual Amissville Homemakers’ Picnic at their home, Holly Hill. They were assisted by their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Bradley of Manassas. The group enjoyed grilled hamburgers and hot dogs along with tasty dishes brought by each member.
Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Emiel Smet, Mr. and Mrs. “Butch” Zindel and children, Luke and Katie, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Priest, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Lawrence, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Laurence and Mrs. Laurence’s daughters, Beverly and Brenda, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Leibold, Mr. and Mrs. William Sigrest, Mr. and Mrs. George Kidwell.
