Mr. Frazier said he feels the issues of the campaign will be defined by the voters of Jackson District whom, he said, he has found to be very concerned about schools. It’s an area, he admitted, that he has not spent a lot of time on, “but I will spend more time with.” Now that he has a family, “we’re looking more toward education - as someone else said, ‘Sometimes you have to have a motivation’.”
Mr. Frazier said he feels that he has an advantage in name recognition over the other two candidates in Jackson District: Franklin Fishback and Col. Ellis Bingham. He maintained that would help him in gaining support for initiatives if elected to the board, assuring him of “support by people in at least several districts. It’s not everything,” he hastened to add, “but it would be a big help.”
He said he waited until the last minute to file as a candidate “hoping someone more qualified would run. There are many qualified and electable people in Jackson District.”
