Holiday giveaway planned
There will be a toys and clothes giveaway, 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 16, at the Washington Fire Hall. Santa will be there at 1 p.m. to help distribute the goods. If you have donations of useable clothes, toys and household items, there will be a box at the Washington and Flint Hill fire halls starting Dec. 4. For more information, call Peggy, 675-3563 or Janet, 987-9029. The giveaway is sponsored by various 4-H groups. Girl Scouts and churches.
Dance series at Wakefield
Northern Virginia Academy of Ballet, along with students from Wakefield, will present “Christmas Wrappings,” a series of dance pieces, 5 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 3, at Wakefield School. A reception will follow the performance. 1
Sunday Dreamers to perform
Sunday Dreamers, a new performance group, presents works in progress at 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 8, at the town hall. The group consists of Catherine Kiley, Tutt Stapp-Harris and Linda Orfila. Admission is $4 for adults and $2.50 for students and senior citizens.
