Claude Gaines
Mr. Claude Marion Gaines of Madison died Nov. 19, at the University of Virginia Hospital. He was 57. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Claude Gaines.
Survivors include his widow, Emma Gaines of Madison, one son, Claude Gaines Jr. of Madison; two daughters, Linda Haynes of Banco and Tammy Gaines of Madison; four brothers, Arthur Gaines of Boston. Thomas R. Gaines of Silver Springs, Mcl., Eugene Gaines of Boston and John Gaines of Front Royal and one sister, Joyce Hall of Olney, Md. Additional survivors include three grandchildren. 1
Mr. Gaines wras a member of the Slate Mills Baptist Church and a resident of Madison for 23 years.
Funeral services were Nov. 22, at Novum Baptist Church, with the Rev. Harold Eaton officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Madison County Rescue Squad.
Culpeper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Donald Macon Highlander, 71, of Culpeper, died Nov. 27, as the result of a heart attack in Rappahannock.
