Mr. Highlander was a native of Orange and had lived many years in Culpeper. He was a member of Woodville Baptist Church. Mr. Highlander did much custom farm work in Rappahannock County.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Gladys Brown Highlander; one daughter, Mrs. Donna Rosson of Culpeper; one foster brother, Raymond M. Johnson of Woodville and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were Nov. 29, at Fairview Cemetery, with the Rev. L. Starke Jones officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Culpeper Rescue Squad or the American Heart Fund.

Graveside funeral services for Marion Odell Rowzie were Nov. 25, at Amissville Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Rowzie was bom in Chesterfield County in 1909. The widow of the late Ralph H. Rowzie, she was retired as a teacher in the Fauquier County public schools system. She also taught in Rappahannock and Powhatan schools.
