As another fall soccer season comes to a close, I would like all ol Rappahannock to know what a fabulous season we had and how well our teams did.
Seven teams in the older age groups travelled to Culpeper and Madison to play against teams whc ■had been playing soccer much longer than Rappahannock. The Rappahannock teams played so well that opposing coaches came over to thank us for playing and giving them such a fine game.
Our players were universally percieved as well mannered, good sportsmen and talented soccer players. We scored against teams who had not been scored on in three years, we tied teams who had winning scores for the year, we beat teams who thought a game with us would be a walk and we held teams no one else could catch.
The Rappahannock coaches are truely dedicated men and women who represent all of Rappahannock out of county. Surrounding counties now know that a game with any Rappahannock team means good soccer.
At home our younger teams did equally as well, playing each other. These players are developing skills which will mean even stronger teams in the older age groups in the coming years and truely prepared, talented players for the RCHS socV
