and the former site at Amissville. Those sites could be sold, and the money would nearly pay for the new site, he suggested.
The $125,000 to renovate the town hall was an estimate, Mr. McCarthy suggested. He said the county did not know now whether the space would be needed for a courtroom or could be made into of- _ fice space. Of the automatic mapping, Mr. McCarthy said that the system could be used to bring in the emergency 911 system and would also be useful for mapping for the zoning office and for planning.
The estimated bill for capital expenses in 1993 was $226,000. Of that, $58,000 will go toward purchase of two new school buses, $30,000 for two new Sheriffs Department vehicles, $125,000 for the landfill, $8,000 for the computer equipment for the financial officers and $15,000 to complete the purchase of the automatic mapping system.
For 1994, $243,500 is the estimated cost of capital improvements. Another bus accounts for $29,000 of that, $31,000 for additional sheriffs vehicles, $8,500 for the final payment on the computer equipment and $175,000 for the landfill.
The capital improvements budget for 1995 was estimated at $268,(MX); $60,(XX) for school buses, $33,000 for sheriffs vehicles, and $175,(XX) for the landfill.
After reviewing Mr. McCarthy's suggestions I)r. Krebser asked about funds for the reassessment.
“I don't consider that a capital cost, since we don’t get anything for it," Mr. McCarthy said. “It’s a cost for professional services."
"I'd like to see us get a piece of land and sit on it in'case we need a school." Mr. Massie suggested.
Mr. McCarthy suggested that perhaps the same piece of land could serve for that purpose and the waste transfer station.
