HandePs 'Messiah'
is Society's concert
The Christmas Portion of Handel’s “Messiah” will be sung by the Culpeper-Piedmont Choral Society in two performances of its annual Candlelight Concert to be held at 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 8, at the Culpeper Baptist Church, and at 5 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 10, at the Lake of the Woods Church.
The 55 choristers come from six counties, and the soloists featured are Diana Bennett, Jean Berckman, Ron Panebaker and Edward Tyner, all of Culpeper, plus Monty Bodington, Arthur Palmer and Donna Speidel, of Warrenton.
The concerts are free and open to the public; however, donations will be welcomed at the door to help to defray the considerable expenses.
