Maddox Tapp
Maddox G. Tapp, 84, of Front Royal, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 1991 in Warren Memorial Hospital.^
The funeral was conducted Tuesday, Jan. 29 at the Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. Peter Weems. Burial was in the Amissville Cemetery.
Mr. Tapp was bom Aug. 12, 1906 in Rappahannock County, the son of the late Francis M. and Betty Leach Tapp. He was a member of the Amissville United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge 146 AF&AM, the American Legion Giles B. Cook Post 53 of Front Royal. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 148th Motor Vehicle Assembly Unit. He was the owner of Texaco Service Stations in Warren and Fauquier counties for 45 yeaers. He was the husband of the late Mary Louise Tapp.
