Historical meeting cancelled
The Rappahannock County Historical Society's quarterly meeting for February has been postponed. A new date and time will be announced.
Business Council meets Feb. 1
The Washington Business Council will hold its monthly meeting on Friday, Feb. 1 at 6:30 p.m. at Windflower Gallery in the Clopton House. This will be a followup to critique the Colonial Christmas celebration and to begin making plans for this year's event. All businesses that k participated are urged to attend.

Tickets for Olde Towne Theatre's premier production, "Murder at the Howard Johnson's," are now on sale at Mountainside Market in Washington, the Royal Oak Bookstore in Front Royal, the New Leaf bookstore in Warrenton and by calling (703) 675-1157. Tickets for the show, which opens March 1 at The Theatre at Washington, Virginia, are $12.
Last call for Girl Scout cookies
The deadline for ordering the everpopular Girl Scout cookies is Monday, Feb. 4. Cookies can be ordered from any Girl Scout or adult leader before that date. The cost is $2.50 per box. Delivery will begin on Monday, Feb. 18.
